Best. Weekend. Ever. Part 1

This is what I did all day Saturday.  I laid on a quilt my mother made under my favorite tree on an impossibly nice day and watched my kids play and these leaves blow around.  It was awesome.

I should have been studying Pathophysiology, and I did get quite a bit done, but I was awfully distracted by everything else.
This was my space.  We literally got this tree when some friends snapped a twig off their tree and stuck it in a beer bottle full of water.  That was only 6 years ago.  It is a monster tree and we're pretty sure that there's a direct correlation between the size of this tree and the increase in our water bill.  Something has been drinking from our water line out back....bad tree...bad bad bad.

Ella mastered the bid kid bike.  She was so happy with herself!

Tim worked in the shop with the doors open so the kids could ride around him with their bikes.  He just got a bunch of designs for some Staggerwing yokes so he's starting on his plans to make them.  My guy is a happy guy.  He's happy with any work that comes his way, but he now has several orders for vintage aircraft parts.  His hobby has officially smashed into his job.

So that just left us with a whole day of putzing.  Maddie would mow for a while then come sit with me.
Ella would swing for a while then come sit with me.
Payton would hunt for bugs for a while, then come show me.

Don't you wish you were a two-year-old and could look this adorable eating a Popsicle naked on your front porch?  I sure as hell do.

And finally after 45 minutes of searching for a lost Ramone, Tim built him a little habitat under our tree.

That was Saturday!  I was expecting Sunday to be pretty similar....what little did I know....
